Beautiful, antique map of Ancient Northern Greece from Karl Otfried Müller's "The History and Antiquities of the Doric Race," published in England by John Murray in 1839. Entitled "Tabula qua Graecia Superior, Qualis tempore belli Peloponnesiaci ineuntis fuit descripa est a C. Odofredo Muller," which is roughly translated as "A Map of Upper Greece at the Time of the Beginning of the Peloponnesian War as Described by Karl Otfried Müller."

This is an authentic engraving by J&C Walker, published in 1839 by John Murray. It is an original and NOT a computer reproduction. A map of this size is rare for the time period. A very large and impactful piece. At some point in the map's past it was mounted on an archival backing. Hand-colored. Verso is blank.

Condition: Good Vintage condition, commensurate with age. This map is in great shape for being over 180 years old. Some wear, foxing, staining, and fold lines as-issued, but these will flatten easily and all will read as vintage character when framed.
