Beautiful, antique map of Bighorn National Park, Wyoming, including Cloud Peak of the Big Horn Mountains, Big Horn County and Johnson County. This is an authentic 1897 edition, 1899 print from the U.S. Geological Survey and NOT a computer reproduction.

See what Wyoming looked like over 125 years ago. Lots of intricate details and geological contours. Map even has little squares for every house that existed at the time. The USGS cartographers were very thorough back then! This is one of the rare maps with the map legend on the front.

Perfect for the historian, map-lover, the curious or just as a conversation starter. Wonderful and rare. Maps such as these make great gifts.

Edition of 1897, printed 1899

Dimensions: 15 1/2" width x 20 1/2" height

Features

Cities & Towns: Tensleep, Burke.

Points of Interest: Big Horn National Forest, Big Horn Mountains, Big Horn County, Johnson County, Cloud Peak, Mather Peak, Black Tooth, Paintrock Lakes, Paintrock Creek, Black Butte, Penrose Peak, Tensleep Creek, Tensleep, Canyon, Onion Gulch, Canyon Ridge, Canyon Creek, No Wood Creek and lots more creeks, mountains, ranges, lakes, houses and roads.

Condition: Good Vintage condition, commensurate with age. This map is in great shape for being over 120 years old. Has edge-wear, toning and folds as-issued but these will flatten easily and all of which will read as vintage character when framed. There is a small chance folds may separate more in transit, but I will do my best to prevent this and is also easily repaired.
