Beautiful, antique map of Mt. Shasta and Shasta-Trinity National Forest, California and surrounding Siskiyou County. This is an authentic 1897 print of 1884 survey data from the U.S. Geological Survey and not a computer reprint. It is from a Geologic Atlas folio and features the rare heading "A Young Volcanic Mountain."

See what Mt. Shasta looked like 125 years ago, well before Mt. Shasta Ski Park was built. Lots of intricate details and geological contours. Map even has little squares for every house that existed. The USGS cartographers were very thorough back then! This is one of the rare maps where the topographic symbols and map guide are on the front.
