Beautiful, antique map of Southern California, from Los Angeles all the way over to the Mohave Desert and Cleveland National Forest. This is an extremely rare, authentic 1901 edition, 1912 print from the U.S. Geological Survey and is NOT a computer reproduction.

See what LA and the California Coast looked like over 120 years ago before modern development. Lots of intricate details and geological contours, including all streets existing at that time. The USGS cartographers were very thorough back then! This USGS printed only a few of these special edition maps centering on important places of interest. This map is truly rare and the landmass covered is immense—no small feat for how detailed it is.

Condition: Good or "Very Vintage" condition, commensurate with age. This map is in great shape for being over 110 years old. Has some foxing, age appropriate toning, small edge tears on margins, light water stain at bottom, stamp in bottom margin, and one fold as-issued, but this will flatten easily and all of which will add to vintage character when framed.
