Beautiful, antique map of Waterville, Skowhegan and surrounding Kennebec & Somerset County area. This is an authentic 1892 edition, 1920 print from the U.S. Geological Survey and NOT a computer reproduction.

See what Waterville and the Kennebec River looked like more than 120 years ago in the late 1800's. Lots of intricate details and geological contours. Map even has little squares for every house that existed at the time. The USGS cartographers were very thorough back then! On the back is a description of topographic symbols and map guide.

Perfect for the historian, map-lover, the curious or just as a conversation starter. Wonderful and rare. Vintage maps such as these make great gifts.

Edition of 1892, printed 1920

Dimensions: 14 1/2" width x 18 1/2" height

Condition: "Very Vintage" condition, commensurate with age. This map is in good shape for being over 100 years old. Has edge-wear and pencil markings, but this will all read to vintage character when framed. Left and bottom map margins have been trimmed. This is easily-concealed by placing a similar-colored paper behind the missing margin when framing, as seen in the photos.
